On the first day of the new year, Elisheva Nesher Kaftal (Eli Sheva), Shophet of the US branch of AMHA died from cancer. The funeral was held on Jan 5. (A web recording is available here.)

This is a tremendous loss for all of us who knew and love her. It leaves a very large, Eli-shaped hole in our world. It also leaves AMHA US without a leader - without its heart and soul. It may take awhile before those of us who remain can determine the path this branch of AMHA will take going forward.
